**Parent-child Lantern-making Activity
Children were introduced to the customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Tai O’s Mid-Autumn Festival culture, and were able to experience the lively atmosphere of the traditional Chinese festivals through lantern-making activities.
Learn about the characteristics of Chinese cultural cuisine through an introduction to traditional Chinese food; recognise how to make dragon’s beard candies and tangyuan and experience the fun of the process.
Through the Music Day, children are introduced to traditional Chinese musical instruments, including their appearance, tone and usage, thus enhancing their interest in Chinese musical instruments and deepening their recognition of Chinese culture. Through observing and playing with the instruments, they will also experience the uniqueness of Chinese music from different perspectives.
Drawing Chinese drums allows children to develop their artistic sense and creativity, and at the same time increases their awareness of new things when they are exposed to different attributes of colours. In painting, children learn about traditional Chinese festivals and the New Year, and learn about the drum and its Chinese culture.

Through the Lunar New Year’s Eve activities, children will learn more about the Chinese New Year activities and experience the joy of visiting the Lunar New Year’s Eve market through the various Lunar New Year’s Eve market stalls.

Through the Lunar New Year’s Eve activities, children will learn more about Chinese New Year and enhance their interest in learning. Through different stalls, children can experience the bustling atmosphere of the traditional Chinese New Year’s Eve market.
**‘Dragon Boat Festival’ Activities
Learn about the Dragon Boat Festival and how Tai O residents celebrate the festival. Experience the festivities of the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival by making mini dragon boat paddles.
